Elvis Presley
The pioneer who fused hillbilly country music with rhythm’n’blues in a way that in the mid 50s introduced the genre of rock’n’roll, thus giving a generation of teenagers their own brand of music.
Elvis was soon followed by a wave of rock’n’rollers, but it was the 20 year old guy from Memphis who during a few feverishly intense years revolutionized post-war music with a voice and a stage presence that seduced and shocked.
